Training Like A Memory Champion

Reading this article helped me understand some of the methods out in the world that can actually help us remember things. For instance, something that stood out to me was the way to remember numbers. The writer says that "Phone numbers, for example, come pre-chunked. We don’t write, or recite, phone numbers as a single digit. 3419108550 is more manageable when written, or recited, as 341-910-8550." This is surprising because most of us don't actually think about this when it comes to numbers, specifically phone numbers. This is a certain to remember people's phone numbers and avoid constantly asking again and again. The overall point of the article is to remind that we don't have to be the smartest person or have the best memory to remember things.
