HOPEPUNK

Hopepunk coined by writer Alexandra Rowland in 2017 -It says that genuinely and sincerely caring about something, anything, requires bravery, and strength -Hopepunk is known for standing up what you believe in and not ever about acceptance or submission -"   It’s about standing up for other people. It’s about DEMANDING a better, kinder world, and truly believing that we can get there if we care about each other as hard as we possibly can, with every drop of power in our little hearts." -

I'M IGNITED

IS LIFE REAL OR A HALLUCINATION? HOW LONG BEFORE HUMANS COMPLETELY DESTROY EARTH? WHY ARE PEOPLE UNWILLING TO CHANGE THEIR MIND ABOUT GUN CONTROL? WHY DO HUMANS NOT CARE AND TAKE FOR GRANTED WHAT THEY'RE GIVEN? DOES SOCIAL MEDIA HAVE AN IMPACT ON PREVENTING TEENS FROM SMOKING? These are a few of the questions that stood out to me because most of them are topics that interest me and I want to learn more about them. For example, the first question is something that has always caught my mind since there are times where I wonder if everything we live and experience isn't real. Come to think about it, we could potentially not even be real and we could low key just be a part of someone's story. I also want to learn more information about the second question because there are so many terrible things going on in the world. For instance, all the wildfires that have recently occurred and other natural disasters. Humans seem to always be blamed for most of the problems going

I HAVE A DREAM - ETHOS, LOGOS, PATHOS

ETHOS  : In his speech, Martin Luther King Jr uses at the beginning of his speech when he says "Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation." - This shows that a president that every American knows about, also fought for black equality. Abe Lincoln is a president that many people look up as a role model, and by using him, the audience feel like they are fighting for the same reason.  "We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now." He pointed out the location of the speech because he considers it holy and finds the Lincoln Memorial fitting for the situation, for Lincoln also fought for equals rights of blacks. The word "hallowed" makes the audience feel apart of the fight for the rights, since they are all in a holy location. LOGOS  : "When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the

WORD CLOUD

1. The first thing I did was text/email some of my friends and ask them if they were willing to answer the questions for me. 2. After I got all the responses, I read through everything and gave my friends a big thanks for taking time to respond to my email/message. 3. I opened a google doc and I typed the responses my friends wrote and for those who emailed me their response, I just copied and pasted onto the doc 4. Then I created this word cloud , which wasn't difficult at all 5. I spent quite some time trying to figure out what shape/outline I wanted to use because I think this is simply something that can show who you are. 6. Final Result :
